Refill Hand Sanitizer

Refill Hand Sanitizer

Is 62% alcohol enough to be effective?

Official guidance is that to be effective they need to contain at least 60% alcohol (ours contains 62%!), cover the full surface area of your hands and be allowed to dry properly. For household surface disenfection a sanitiser should contain 70% alcohol.

How many times can I refill my bottle and reuse my pump for life?

You can refill your bottle as many times as you wish. The high levels of alcohol in the hand sanitiser means your pump and bottle will always stay hygienic. Eventually your pump will wear out - when this happens, send it back to us and we will send you a replacement free of charge.

How does the product smell?

Minty fresh! Unlike most hand sanitisers we use high grade essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances, because not only are they naturally antibacterial they have a lovely natural fragrance. We have used peppermint and spearmint essential oils for an uplifting minty fresh fragrance.

1 billion single use plastic hand sanitisers sounds like a lot, are you sure?

It sure is. Hand sanitisers should be used when you are out and about and can't wash your hands for the recommended 20 seconds with soap and water. With over 66 million people in the UK using a 50ml bottle every 3 weeks that's over 1 billion bottles!

Is this cruelty free and vegan?

Of course! At Beauty Kitchen we are proud to be Leaping Bunny Certified - the gold standard against animal testing, this means that we (and all of our suppliers) go through rigourous assessments to ensure that all our products are cruelty free. This product is also 100% vegan and made with all natural and sustainable ingredients as well as packaging.

What are Microplastics and why are they bad?

They are tiny pieces of plastic which are found in many personal care products including gel hand sanitisers. These microplastics are so small that we cannot see them with the naked eye. Through our shower and sinks, they flow into sewage systems, slip through the filters in water treatment plants and reach our rivers and oceans. Marine animals mistake these microplastics for food. These particles also end up on our plates because we are part of the food chain. Our hand sanitiser contains NO MICROPLASTICS - we are proud to work with the Plastic Soup Foundation and donate 2% of our profits to charity all year, every year.

Does your hand sanitiser contain GMO alcohol?

No it doesn't. Our alcohol is non GMO, which means it is not genetically modified crop source which meets our 100% natural standards.
